The Atlantic Installation team was recently faced with a challenging mezzanine project from our manufacturing customer in the Northeast. Our job was to put a mezzanine system in place that would support their ongoing operational needs and enable upward growth for years to come The project consisted of a 70’L x 30’W x 11’H, 160PSF Mezzanine designed and manufactured by our partners at MiTek and was created to allow for expansion on three of the four sides for anticipated growth. Along with a B-deck and Resindek floor and a 3-rail handrail, our installation project was ready to proceed.
The obstacles we faced during this installation included minimally assembled equipment, a partial shutdown of their production floor to make way for construction, and a hose system with several new lines more than doubling their current amount. Because of the production shutdown, the installation team faced time constraints and opted to use multiple crews over long hours and rigging setups to complete the installation on schedule and to customer satisfaction.
